McDonald’s Canada has teamed up with Toronto music star Drake for a limited-time menu collaboration available only at Canadian locations.

The fast-food chain revealed the partnership just ahead of its launch date, building excitement among fans of both the brand and the rapper.

A Teaser That Sparked Buzz

On February 13, McDonald’s Canada shared a short video on social media featuring the well-known October’s Very Own (OVO) owl logo, a symbol connected to Drake’s clothing brand. The image also included the McDonald’s golden arches placed above the owl and the phrase “Where night owls land,” along with the message “coming 2.17.”

Posters carrying the same design appeared across parts of Toronto, drawing attention from passersby and fueling online conversation.

Although the original social media post was later removed, the promotional campaign had already caught the public’s eye. The collaboration moved forward and rolled out at McDonald’s restaurants nationwide, including locations across the Greater Toronto Area.

What’s on the Menu?

The special offering, called the “Afters” meal, includes a combination designed to appeal to late-night diners.

Customers can choose between:

  • A Junior Chicken sandwich or a McDouble
  • A serving of poutine
  • A medium “Nite Sprite,” a blue raspberry-flavoured Sprite

The drink comes in a limited-edition black OVO-branded cup, adding a collectible touch to the meal.

The menu items blend familiar favourites with a playful twist, reflecting Drake’s connection to late-night culture and his hometown roots.

A Canadian-Only Collaboration

This partnership stands out because it remains exclusive to Canada. Fans outside the country will not find the special combo at their local McDonald’s.

Drake, born and raised in Toronto, often highlights his Canadian identity in his music and business ventures. The collaboration continues that theme by focusing solely on Canadian customers.

While McDonald’s and OVO have not shared details about how long the “Afters” meal will remain available, the limited-time nature of the offering suggests it will not stay on menus for long.

Late-Night Appeal

The slogan “Where night owls land” hints at the meal’s intended audience — those looking for a bite after hours. Both the branding and the menu choices reflect Drake’s OVO identity, which frequently uses the owl symbol to represent nightlife and creativity.

The launch has already generated interest among fans eager to try the combo and collect the special cup.

With exclusive packaging and a Canadian-only rollout, the collaboration marks another example of a major brand partnering with a high-profile artist to create excitement around everyday menu items.

As customers head to McDonald’s locations across the country, many will look to see how long this limited-edition offering lasts.
