Pokémon fans, it's time to head back to the Golden Arches! Starting today, McDonald's is offering a special Pokémon-themed Happy Meal® for a limited time, bringing the excitement of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) right to your table. This new Happy Meal lets fans of all ages dive into the world of Pokémon, with some exciting surprises to discover.

Each Happy Meal includes a booster pack from the Pokémon TCG, featuring four cards out of a selection of 15. In addition to the cards, fans will find a Pokémon poster, complete with a sticker sheet for decorating the poster. Whether you’re a long-time fan of the franchise or just starting your Pokémon journey, this Happy Meal provides a fun, nostalgic experience.

In addition to the new Happy Meal, Pokémon fans can visit their nearby McDonald's to take part in the Pokémon GO event that started across the U.S. last December. McDonald’s

Guillaume Huin, Senior Marketing Director at McDonald's, shared his excitement about the collaboration: “There’s nothing more exciting than when we can bring campaigns to our fans with partners that we’re fans of ourselves. Much like they do for McDonald’s, our fans have deep nostalgia and love for the Pokémon brand. We’re thrilled to build on those great memories and create a new moment of fun and happiness with the new Pokémon Happy Meal.”

To make the experience even more special, the Happy Meal box itself features unique Pokémon designs. You’ll get one of four exciting box designs featuring popular Pokémon such as Charizard, Pikachu & Dragonite, Rayquaza, and Roaring Moon. Each box will add an extra touch of fun to the experience.

But the Pokémon excitement doesn’t end there! When you order a Happy Meal through the McDonald’s app, you unlock additional bonuses. The McDonald’s app offers a one-time redeemable code that grants you a set of in-game bonuses for the Pokémon TCG Pocket app, including 24 pack hourglasses and 12 wonder hourglasses. These hourglasses can be used to open two digital booster packs, and you’ll also get to select one randomized digital card through the Wonder Pick feature. This makes it even more exciting for those who enjoy the digital side of the Pokémon TCG.

When you buy a Happy Meal through the McDonald’s app, you'll receive a free in-game bonus for the Pokémon TCG Pocket app. McDonald’s

For those who play Pokémon GO, there’s another opportunity to interact with the Pokémon world at McDonald’s. The Pokémon GO activation, which started in December, continues at McDonald’s restaurants across the U.S. Players can visit participating locations to engage with Pokémon GO features like Sponsored PokéStops and Gyms. If you visit a McDonald's during the special dates—January 20-26, February 10-16, and March 10-16—you can encounter Pokémon attracted by active Lure Modules and take part in five-star raids at McDonald’s Gyms.

The Pokémon Happy Meal® is available starting January 21 at participating McDonald’s locations nationwide, while supplies last. Don’t miss your chance to collect these special Pokémon TCG cards and enjoy the additional rewards from the app. Make sure to head over to your local McDonald’s before they’re all gone!
