Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, has introduced a new online store where fans can shop her favorite clothing, accessories, and jewelry. She shared the store link with her 2.6 million Instagram followers on Monday, making it easy for them to browse and buy her style picks.
Through the platform, Meghan earns a commission on some sales made via her affiliate links. The ShopMy platform, where her store is hosted, allows content creators to make money when shoppers buy products through their shared links. Depending on the retailer, commissions can go as high as 30%.
In her announcement, Meghan described the collection as a "handpicked and curated" selection of her wardrobe favorites. She explained that fans had often asked about her style choices, inspiring her to share her personal fashion picks.
The 32-piece collection mainly features neutral tones and classic wardrobe staples. The pieces include timeless items like a crisp white cotton t-shirt, striped blue "boyfriend" shirt, white linen trousers, and a black wool blazer. There are also more elegant items, such as a full-length ivory evening dress. The collection emphasizes simple colors like white, beige, light blue, and black, with fabrics like linen and cashmere.
The store offers a mix of mid-range and luxury brands, including Theory, Reformation, Polene, Madewell, and J Crew. Meghan also included budget-friendly options, such as a £99 Uniqlo trench coat, alongside high-end pieces like Saint Laurent leather sandals priced at £595.
Meghan has long been known for influencing fashion trends. In 2017, she wore a white coat by Canadian brand Line the Label when announcing her engagement to Prince Harry. The coat became so popular that it caused the brand’s website to crash. Similarly, when she carried a £500 Strathberry tote bag, it sold out in just 11 minutes across multiple countries.
This new venture follows the recent launch of her Netflix lifestyle show, where she offers a glimpse into her personal life, including cooking, gardening, and socializing with friends.
Last year, she also introduced a lifestyle brand initially called American Riviera Orchard, now rebranded as As Ever. The brand sells handcrafted products like preserves and teas, adding to her growing presence in the lifestyle and retail space.
Meghan is no stranger to sharing lifestyle tips. Before marrying Prince Harry, she ran a blog called The Tig, where she posted about beauty, fashion, travel, and personal insights. She shut down the blog in 2017, just months before announcing her engagement.
Her new digital shop marks her return to sharing her fashion favorites with fans, giving them direct access to her style and creating a new revenue stream through affiliate marketing.
