The Columbus Blue Jackets pulled off a thrilling 3-2 shootout victory over the Philadelphia Flyers in Ohio. Kent Johnson and Kirill Marchenko netted the crucial shootout goals, while Zach Werenski scored twice during regulation, including the equalizer with just over four minutes left. Columbus goalie Daniil Tarasov contributed 23 saves, securing the team’s fifth consecutive win, their longest streak since the 2019-20 season.

Philadelphia’s Bobby Brink and Owen Tippett scored, but their efforts couldn’t extend the Flyers’ two-game winning streak. Ivan Fedotov made 27 saves in the loss.

Capitals’ Thompson Shines in Shutout
Logan Thompson of the Washington Capitals delivered his first shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Thompson stopped 18 shots and maintained composure under pressure, improving his record to an impressive 19-2-3 since joining the team. Goals from Brandon Duhaime, John Carlson, and Ethen Frank boosted Washington to back-to-back wins. Anaheim, struggling with form, suffered its fifth loss in seven games.

Sharks Snap Red Wings’ Winning Streak
In Detroit, the San Jose Sharks ended the Red Wings’ seven-game winning streak with a dominant 6-3 victory. William Eklund led the charge with a goal and two assists. San Jose’s Nico Sturm added a short-handed goal, while rookie Macklin Celebrini contributed two assists. For Detroit, Vladimir Tarasenko broke an 18-game goal drought with two goals in a losing effort.

Kraken Rally Past Penguins
The Seattle Kraken overturned a one-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2. Jamie Oleksiak and Eeli Tolvanen scored just 49 seconds apart to shift momentum. Joey Daccord’s 31 saves and an assist further cemented Seattle’s win, while Pittsburgh’s Bryan Rust added his 17th goal of the season.

Stars Dominate Maple Leafs
Logan Stankoven powered the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs with two goals and an assist. Matt Duchene added a goal and two assists as Dallas rebounded after a previous loss. Toronto’s Auston Matthews extended his point streak against Dallas to 12 games but couldn’t stop the Leafs from dropping their third straight match.

Bruins Crush Lightning
In Boston, the Bruins secured a decisive 6-2 victory against the Tampa Bay Lightning. David Pastrnak shone with a goal and two assists, while Parker Wotherspoon scored his first NHL goal. Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman made an incredible 43 saves to help Boston recover from a six-game losing streak.

Jets Soar Past Canucks
Kyle Connor’s natural hat trick in the first period led the Winnipeg Jets to a 6-1 rout of the Vancouver Canucks. Connor Hellebuyck recorded his league-leading 27th win with 23 saves, solidifying Winnipeg as the first team this season to reach 30 wins.
