The Oscar-winning actress has fully embraced menswear styles in 2025. Take a look at her newest outfit. HELLO!
Actress Nicole Kidman made a stylish return to her home city as she took part in a panel at the 56th annual Nashville Film Festival on September 21. The Oscar-winning star impressed onlookers with her elegant and simple business-casual outfit, proving once again she knows how to balance class and comfort.
A Stylish Look for a Hometown Appearance
For the event, Nicole wore a soft beige satin blouse that shone under the camera lights. She paired it with loose-fitting dress pants, a black belt, and grey pointy heels. Her hair flowed in soft waves, and she added a black watch to complete the look.
Nicole later posted the outfit on her social media, writing, “So nice to be at home celebrating film at the @NashFilmFest @CountryMusicHOF,” followed by a heart emoji. The post highlighted her connection to Nashville and her joy at being part of the event.
A Shift Toward Menswear-Inspired Fashion
Nicole has become known for wearing glamorous gowns on red carpets, but in 2025, she has shown a strong preference for menswear-inspired fashion. She’s worn suits, ties, and blazers at several public appearances this year.
At the Critics Choice Awards in February, Nicole arrived in a beige oversized blazer, a crisp white shirt, matching trousers, and a sleek black tie. Later, at the Nine Perfect Strangers season two premiere, she wore a sharp black blazer with dress pants, leather gloves, and heels, pulling her hair back into a neat ponytail.
Why She Loves Suits Over Dresses
Nicole has spoken openly about her fashion preferences. In an interview, she shared, “I’m also partial to a tie and a suit. My natural way of dressing would be far more pants, tie, suit, and a jacket.”

She revealed that one of her first big fashion purchases was a high-end Alaïa suit, which she bought using her saved travel money. Although she no longer owns the piece, it remains a special memory.
Nicole also shared that while she loves wearing beautiful gowns, they often feel impractical. She explained, “I want to get out, take my dress off, and put my jammies on. It’s kind of like the opposite of Cinderella.”
Passing Fashion Down to Her Daughters
Nicole still keeps all the dresses she’s worn to red carpet events. She has boxed them carefully, treating them as valuable keepsakes. She said she saved them for her daughters, who often go through her wardrobe looking for pieces to wear.
“What’s mine is yours,” Nicole said, laughing. But when it comes to borrowing from her daughters' closets, she joked, “I’m not allowed to take anything.”
