The upcoming launch of Nothing Phone 2a is anticipated to take place at the Mobile World Congress in 2024. Recent weeks have seen a surge in online revelations regarding a new smartphone in the pipeline from the UK-based manufacturer, Nothing. The speculated Nothing Phone 2a is projected to debut with slightly pared-down specifications in comparison to its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 2. Previously leaked design illustrations and significant features of the alleged phone have already surfaced. Now, an informant has disclosed details concerning the price, color selections, as well as RAM and storage configurations of the impending Nothing Phone 2a.

Roland Quandt (@rquandt), a reliable tipster, shared insights on X platform, suggesting that the Nothing Phone 2a could possibly launch in Black and White color variants. He indicated that the base model of the smartphone, equipped with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, might be priced below EUR 400 (approximately Rs. 36,800). Additionally, Quandt hinted at the existence of a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, but refrained from providing any specific pricing details for this particular option.

An earlier leak had hinted at a potential price listing of $400 (roughly Rs. 33,200) for the Nothing Phone 2a. This leak also showcased a pre-production unit of the phone, displaying a horizontally positioned camera module at the center of the upper back panel, and a centered hole-punch slot for the front camera on the front panel. Moreover, it presented a redesigned Glyph Interface.

In recent reports, it was suggested that the Nothing Phone 2a might incorporate a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KNG9 primary sensor measuring 1/1.5 inches, alongside a 50-megapixel Samsung S5KJN1 sensor of 1/2.76 inches with an ultrawide lens at the rear. The front camera may feature a 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensor.

The anticipated specifications of the Nothing Phone 2a include a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC and a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display offering a resolution of 1,084 x 2,412 pixels. It is expected to run on the Nothing OS 2.5, based on Android 14. The official unveiling of the phone is anticipated to take place at the 'Nothing to See' event during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 27th.
