Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang took center stage at the GTC 2025 conference, often dubbed “AI Woodstock,” to discuss the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. Addressing a packed audience, Huang emphasized that AI has reached a major turning point, evolving from simple perception tasks to reasoning-based intelligence.
New AI Chips to Power the Future
One of the most awaited announcements of the event was the introduction of Nvidia’s upcoming AI chip architectures: Blackwell Ultra and Vera Rubin. Blackwell Ultra is set to launch in late 2025, followed by Rubin in 2026 and its advanced version, Rubin Ultra, in 2027. These innovations are expected to push AI capabilities even further.
AI’s Rapid Progress and Expanding Influence
Huang highlighted AI’s remarkable transformation over the last decade. He explained how AI progressed from recognizing images and patterns to generating complex responses and now to understanding context with near-human reasoning. He stressed that AI is reshaping computing, making it more intuitive and interactive than ever before.
Nvidia’s Growing Dominance in AI
The demand for Nvidia’s powerful GPUs continues to rise, particularly among leading cloud service providers. Huang projected that Nvidia’s data center infrastructure revenue would surpass $1 trillion by 2028. The company’s influence isn’t just limited to tech giants—automotive companies are also integrating Nvidia’s AI-driven technology.
AI in Self-Driving Cars and Safety Innovations
One major highlight was Nvidia’s collaboration with General Motors to enhance its upcoming fleet of autonomous vehicles. Huang also introduced Nvidia’s Halos system, an AI-powered safety solution designed for self-driving technology. He stated that Nvidia is the first company to have its entire codebase assessed for safety, reinforcing the company’s commitment to reliable AI integration.
Huang’s keynote reinforced Nvidia’s position as a leader in AI, setting the stage for a future where AI is seamlessly woven into everyday life.
