Oprah Winfrey greeted cheering fans in Sydney as she continued her Australian tour. She stepped out in a striking all-white outfit. Her cropped wrap top and matching side-buttoned pants created a clean and stylish look. Her toned stomach drew attention as she waved to the crowd with a warm smile.
The 71-year-old paired the outfit with white sneakers, oversized sunglasses, hoop earrings, and a peach handbag. Her look showed confidence, energy, and a strong sense of personal style.
A Health Journey That Changed Her Life
Oprah often speaks openly about her long road with weight loss. She has shed nearly 50 pounds since 2021. Her progress began after knee surgery that changed how she moved and lived.
“After knee surgery, I started hiking and setting new distance goals each week. I could eventually hike three to five miles every day,” she told People. “I felt stronger, more fit, and more alive than I’d felt in years.”
She said the experience pushed her to think about how she wants to live now. “There is a sense of knowing that there isn’t as much time left, and I am at peace with that knowing. There’s a sense of urgency for me about living well,” she said.

Oprah shared that she once reached 237 pounds. She later began using GLP-1 medication to help manage appetite and break long-standing patterns. She described the change as emotional as well as physical.
Letting Go of Shame
Oprah said she blamed herself for years. “I realized I’d been blaming myself all these years for being overweight,” she told People. “And I have a predisposition that no amount of willpower is going to control.”
She now sees the medication as a tool. “I now use it as I feel I need it – as a tool to avoid yo-yoing,” she explained. She said she feels relief, not guilt, about receiving medical support.
“I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself,” she said. She also stressed that medication alone doesn’t shape her progress. “It’s not one thing, it’s everything. I know that if I’m not also working out and vigilant about all the other things, it doesn’t work for me.”
A Tour Filled With Purpose
Oprah’s visit marks her first trip to Australia since 2015. Her Oprah in Conversation tour brings her across the country to speak with audiences about growth, purpose, and future goals.
“I’m beyond excited to return after ten years,” she said in a statement. She shared that the warmth and spirit of Australian audiences stayed with her for years. “This tour is a chance to reconnect, reflect, and be reinspired – together.”
She aims to guide discussions about possibility and personal change. “I can’t wait to share stories, ideas, and meaningful conversations about what’s possible in our lives moving forward.”
