The Baltimore Orioles showcased their lineup depth in a commanding 7-2 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Despite Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman's efforts, Orioles players stepped up, securing a strong start to the four-game series.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider acknowledged the Orioles' formidable lineup, emphasizing the need to pitch strategically against them. Austin Hays led the Orioles' offensive charge with two home runs, while Anthony Santander contributed a two-run homer and Ramon Urias added a solo shot. This win marked the Orioles' ninth victory in eleven games.

Toronto's Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also made an impact with a home run, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Orioles' dominance. Gausman struggled, conceding six earned runs, equaling his season-high, and the Blue Jays suffered their second loss in seven games.

Gausman's difficulties began early in the game when he walked Ryan O'Hearn, who later scored on Santander's home run in the second inning. The Blue Jays responded in the bottom of the inning, capitalizing on an error by Orioles shortstop Gunnar Henderson, which allowed George Springer to reach base. Daulton Varsho followed with a triple, narrowing the Orioles' lead.

Colton Cowser extended the Orioles' lead in the fourth inning with an RBI double, followed by another home run from Hays. Guerrero managed to add another run for the Blue Jays with a home run off Grayson Rodriguez.

Hays continued his impressive performance with another home run in the seventh inning, further extending the Orioles' lead. Gausman was substituted after his 97th pitch, having allowed six hits and one walk while striking out three batters.

In the seventh inning, the Blue Jays threatened with runners on first and third base, but Rodriguez managed to strike out Kevin Kiermaier, and Yennier Cano came in as relief to retire Davis Schneider.

Rodriguez, who earned the win, allowed only one run and seven hits while striking out four batters. Urias sealed the Orioles' victory with a solo home run in the ninth inning.

Blue Jays manager Schneider acknowledged the Orioles' strength as a team and emphasized the need for his team to find ways to score against them, given their ability to accumulate runs consistently.

In summary, the Baltimore Orioles demonstrated their offensive prowess with a four-homer performance, securing a decisive victory over the Toronto Blue Jays. Despite Guerrero's efforts for the Blue Jays, Gausman struggled on the mound, leading to their second loss in seven games.
