Pedro Pascal, 50, admitted he really dislikes his clean-shaven look. During a fun interview with his Fantastic Four: First Steps co-star Vanessa Kirby, he shared that he was “appalled” by how he looked without facial hair in Wonder Woman 1984.
He joked that he can’t grow great facial hair, but still prefers some stubble. “I really look very… strongly disagree with a clean-shaven me,” he told Kirby.
When she asked when he last shaved completely, he quickly answered: Wonder Woman 1984. Pedro said he loved the movie, but hated how he looked without facial hair.
“I never have gone back unless it were completely necessary,” he said. If he had to shave for Fantastic Four, he would’ve done it. But luckily, the look for his character was a team decision.
Pascal Joins the Fantastic Four Team
Pedro now plays Reed Richards, also known as Mister Fantastic, in the new Fantastic Four movie. His castmates include Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (The Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing).
The film takes place in the 1960s and shows the team already working together. Things heat up when they face the Silver Surfer, played by Julia Garner, and her boss Galactus—a giant who eats planets.
Family Reactions Were Priceless
Pedro shared that some of his family were thrilled when he joined the superhero movie. “My nephew’s lost it,” he said. His younger brother Nicolás, a longtime fan of Fantastic Four comics, was especially excited.
“They were like, ‘Are you serious?’” Pedro recalled. “And I was excited because it’s the Fantastic Four!”
A Sweet Moment with His Sister Lux
At the movie’s Los Angeles premiere on July 21, Pedro had a heartwarming moment with his sister Lux Pascal, 33. While posing for photos, Lux struggled with the train of her dress.
Pedro stepped in, bent down, and gently fixed the fabric so it laid perfectly. Fans loved the sweet sibling interaction.
Lux wore a stylish black gown with a halter top, braid details, and waist cutouts. The gown featured a sheer short train that added to its elegance.
Pedro looked sharp in an ivory jacket over a white tank top. He paired it with black pants, dress shoes, and a polka-dot scarf. His black-rimmed glasses completed the look.
