Philadelphia Cream Cheese has introduced a new breakfast item called the Bonut—a bagel shaped like a donut, topped with their latest Blueberry and Pineapple cream cheese flavours. Kraft-Heinz Canada
Philadelphia Cream Cheese has launched something new and fun for breakfast lovers. Say hello to the Bonut — a mix between a bagel and a donut. This unique treat is topped with cream cheese, not stuffed, and features the brand’s two new sweet flavors: Blueberry and Pineapple.
Cream Cheese with a Fruity Upgrade
These new flavors are a big step for the brand, especially since savory cream cheese has dominated for years. Now, with more people wanting sweeter options, Philadelphia decided to bring something different. The new spreads contain real fruit chunks and the same smooth texture fans already love.
Free Bonuts on National Donut Day
To celebrate, Philadelphia teamed up with two popular bagel spots — College Street Bagels in Toronto and Fairmount Bagel in Montreal. On June 6, 2025, which is National Donut Day, fans can grab a free Bonut starting at 7 a.m., while supplies last. Those who can’t make it can also order them for a short time on Uber Eats.
Why This Is a Big Deal
Most cream cheese sold in stores leans toward savory flavors. But studies show that nearly half of Canadians prefer sweet spreads. Despite that, their options have been limited. That’s where these new Blueberry and Pineapple flavors come in — giving sweet-tooth breakfast lovers a reason to get excited again.
Crafted With Quality, Made in Canada
Philadelphia’s new flavors are made right in Canada. They contain no artificial colors or flavors and come in 227g tubs priced at $4.99 CAD. You’ll find them in select stores across the country starting this month.
Brand’s Mission Remains the Same
For over 150 years, Philadelphia has been known for turning everyday food into something special. Brian Neumann, the Head of Brand & Creativity at Kraft Heinz Canada, said the goal has always been to offer new and exciting products. According to him, taste is the number one reason people buy cream cheese, so they expect the Bonut to make a big impact.
What's Next?
With new flavors, bold ideas like the Bonut, and support from Canadians who love trying new things, Philadelphia is bringing fun back to breakfast.
