Canadians often sit down to the same classic dishes every holiday season. Many enjoy the tradition, but some admit the menu feels too familiar. Boston Pizza steps in this year with a new twist that aims to lift the holiday mood. The company introduces Pizza Gravy, a sauce that blends the warm taste of gravy with the flavour of its well-known pizza sauce. The goal is simple: bring something fun and fresh to tables across the country.

Survey Shows Canadians Want New Flavours

A new national survey shows many Canadians feel tired of the usual dishes. Most still call gravy the highlight of their holiday plate. Sixty-seven percent say it matters most at dinner. But three in five say they want something different alongside their favourites. They look for flavours that feel exciting without removing the classics they grew up with.

A New Take on a Favourite Sauce

Boston Pizza says the idea grew from a simple thought. “Canadians clearly love their gravy, but we think they love pizza more,” says Niels van Oyen, Director of Marketing at Boston Pizza International. He says the team wanted to offer something playful that fits the season. The new sauce mixes comfort with a familiar pizza taste. He compares it to the surprising holiday stories that spark laughs around the dinner table.

Pizza Gravy aims to brighten leftovers and give families something fun to talk about. It adds a new taste to turkey, potatoes or anything that needs a little help. The company hopes it brings a lighthearted break during a busy season.

A Seasonal Treat for a Good Cause

The sauce goes on sale starting November 27. Each jar costs $9.99, plus tax and shipping. People can buy it online while supplies last. The company also supports Food Banks Canada through the launch. A portion of each purchase helps communities across the country. Boston Pizza says the product offers a simple way to enjoy a new flavour and support people in need at the same time.

Pizza Gravy arrives as a fun option for those who want something new before facing another plate of dry turkey or plain sides. The company hopes the product brings families together, adds a spark to holiday meals and keeps the season joyful from coast to coast.
