The first trailer for Predator: Badlands is finally here. This is the sixth film in the popular Predator series. The new movie stars Elle Fanning in a double role. She plays twin sisters trying to survive in a deadly desert setting while being hunted by a fearsome alien.

The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg. He also directed the last movie in the series, Prey, which became a big success. That movie came out in 2022 and earned four Emmy nominations. It even won for best sound editing. Fans and critics praised it for its suspense and strong direction.

Predator: Badlands brings back the creative team behind Prey. Trachtenberg teamed up again with writer Patrick Aison. They worked closely to shape this new story. Brent O’Connor is producing the film, while Richard Cowen is helping as co-producer.

Elle Fanning is no stranger to major roles. She starred as Catherine the Great in The Great, which ran for three seasons. She also appeared alongside Timothée Chalamet in A Complete Unknown, a film about Bob Dylan. Some of her other films include Maleficent, Super 8, and The Neon Demon.

The original Predator film came out in 1987. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers played the main roles. The movie cost about $15 million to make. It made almost $100 million worldwide, which would be around $300 million today. It quickly became a cult favorite.

After that, several sequels followed. These included Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010), and The Predator (2018). The alien from the series even battled creatures from the Alien movies in two crossover films.

Now, Predator: Badlands adds a fresh twist. Setting the action in a desert, the film will focus on survival, family bonds, and fierce fights. Fanning’s roles as both sisters are expected to bring emotion and intensity to the story.

The studio behind the film promises high energy, tense action, and a chilling atmosphere. They also aim to give fans something new, while honoring the older films. This installment hopes to keep longtime fans happy while drawing in new viewers too.

The movie is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2025. With a proven director, a strong lead actress, and a terrifying alien, this might be one of the most talked-about releases of the year.
