A brand-new Predator movie is coming this summer. Titled Predator: Killer of Killers, it is an animated film and will be released on June 6 on Hulu and Disney+. This new addition to the Predator series follows the success of Prey, which came out in 2022 and became a surprise hit.
This upcoming film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg, who also directed Prey. He teamed up with Josh Wassung from The Third Floor, an animation studio. Micho Robert Rutare wrote the script and developed the story with Trachtenberg.
Killer of Killers brings a fresh approach to the Predator world. The story focuses on three brave warriors from different time periods. Each one faces a deadly mission. But they are not the hunters. They are the hunted.
The first story follows a Viking raider and her young son. She seeks revenge and takes her son on a violent journey. The second story is set in Japan, where a ninja must fight his own brother, a Samurai, in a battle for power. The third tale happens during World War II, where a pilot flies into danger to investigate a strange threat in the sky.
These three warriors come from very different worlds. They are all strong and skilled. But each one faces the same enemy — the Predator. This powerful alien hunts them one by one. The film shows that no matter how dangerous a human can be, there is something even more deadly out there.
Fans of the series will remember that Trachtenberg played a big role in making Prey a hit. That movie told the story of a young Comanche woman in the 1700s who stood up to a Predator. It was different, fresh, and exciting. After that success, the studio asked Trachtenberg what he wanted to do next. He pitched several wild ideas. The studio liked them so much, they went ahead with two of them.
One of those ideas is Killer of Killers. The other is Predator: Badlands, a live-action film also directed by Trachtenberg. That movie will come out on November 7. It stars Elle Fanning and takes the story in a whole new direction.
At a recent event, Fanning shared a surprise about her role. “My character actually teams up with the Predator,” she said. “You get to see him in a whole new light.”
With two new Predator films on the way, fans are in for a treat. Killer of Killers mixes history, action, and sci-fi in a bold new way. It brings together warriors from different times and shows what happens when they all face the same unstoppable hunter.
