Prince William took a break from his royal responsibilities to act as an usher at the wedding of his friend Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, in London. Grosvenor, a prominent landowner, tied the knot with Olivia Henson, marking a significant societal event.

The ceremony, held at Chester Cathedral in northwest England, was attended by numerous guests, including Prince William and other dignitaries. Grosvenor's vast estate, Eaton Hall, served as the backdrop for the private wedding reception.

The couple's arrival at the cathedral was met with cheers from spectators, with Henson dazzling in a white wedding gown designed by Emma Victoria Payne. However, the festivities were briefly disrupted when environmental activists sprayed orange powder from a fire extinguisher. The protesters were swiftly apprehended by the police, with two individuals arrested on charges of public order offenses.

Notably absent from the wedding were Kate Middleton, who is undergoing cancer treatment, and Prince Harry, who resides in California with his family. Grosvenor, who inherited his title following his father's passing in 2016, hails from a long line of aristocrats with extensive land holdings across Britain, including prime real estate in London's Mayfair and Belgravia neighborhoods. The Grosvenor Estate, owned by the family, encompasses 300 acres of land in London, as well as various properties worldwide. According to the 2024 Sunday Times Rich List, the Duke of Westminster's wealth is estimated to exceed £10 billion ($12.8 billion).
