The Toronto Raptors will enter Wednesday’s clash against the Indiana Pacers significantly depleted. Six players have been ruled out, forcing Toronto to adjust rotations yet again. The Raptors and Pacers meet in Indiana with tip-off scheduled for 7 pm ET.
Despite the absences, the Raptors remain confident. They have already beaten the Pacers twice this season. Still, missing key contributors adds pressure on an already demanding road game.
Six Raptors Ruled Out for Pacers Matchup
According to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg, the Raptors will be without Immanuel Quickley, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Garrett Temple, RJ Barrett, Jakob Poeltl and Ja’Kobe Walter.
Quickley is the biggest loss. The 26-year-old guard has been a consistent offensive presence this season. He scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds during Monday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers. He played over 32 minutes in that outing.
Quickley’s absence leaves a noticeable gap in Toronto’s backcourt. His ability to score and create has anchored several close games.
Immanuel Quickley’s Season in Focus
Quickley has appeared in 40 games during the 2025–26 season. He is averaging 16.5 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. Those numbers reflect his importance to the Raptors’ offensive rhythm.
Last season, injuries limited him to just 33 appearances. Toronto had hoped for better health this year. Wednesday’s scratch is another setback in that plan.
Injury and Illness Continue to Test Raptors Depth
Mamukelashvili is sidelined due to illness. Barrett remains out with an ankle injury. Poeltl is still recovering from a back issue. Rookie Ja’Kobe Walter continues to nurse a hip injury.
Veteran Garrett Temple is also unavailable. The 39-year-old saw only two minutes of action against Philadelphia on Monday. This is Temple’s 16th NBA season. He has appeared in just 10 games this year.
With so many players missing, Toronto will rely heavily on its remaining core and bench depth.
Raptors Hold Strong Playoff Position
Even with recurring injuries, the Raptors remain competitive. At the midpoint of the season, Toronto holds a 24–17 record. That places them fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.
Toronto’s consistency has been a bright spot. They continue to win games despite frequent lineup changes. Head coach adjustments have helped stabilize performances.
Pacers Struggle Through Difficult Season
Indiana enters the matchup at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. The Pacers sit at 9–31, reflecting a season derailed by injuries and inconsistency.
Last year’s NBA Finals run ended painfully. Indiana lost Game 7 to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since then, health issues have haunted the roster.
The Pacers will view this game as a chance to reset. Facing a shorthanded Raptors squad offers opportunity.
Season Series Favors Toronto
The Raptors are 2–0 against the Pacers this season. Both victories came with stronger lineups than Wednesday’s projected group.
Toronto will aim to maintain that dominance. Indiana will try to capitalize on the absences.
All eyes will be on how the Raptors respond. Depth, discipline and execution will decide if Toronto sweeps the season series.
