A Cheeto resembling the popular Pokémon Charizard has been auctioned for an astonishing $87,840. The rare snack was listed for sale by a well-known auction house and officially sold on Sunday.
According to the auction description, the Cheeto is about three inches long and shaped like Charizard, one of the most recognizable Pokémon. It was carefully placed on a custom Pokémon card and sealed inside a clear storage box to preserve its condition. The snack was originally found and kept between 2018 and 2022 by 1st & Goal Collectibles. However, it gained massive attention on social media in late 2024, leading to its high-value sale.
The listing attracted significant interest, with a total of 60 bids placed on the rare find. The final winning bid was $72,000, but with added buyer fees, the total cost reached an impressive $87,840.
This sale is another example of how unusual collectibles, especially those connected to popular culture, can reach unexpected prices. Over the years, many oddly shaped Cheetos have surfaced, but few have sold for such a large sum.
