AMAs Return in Style
After a two-year break, the American Music Awards made a big comeback. This year, the event took place in Las Vegas, and stars showed up in bold outfits. But no one grabbed more attention than Rebecca Black.
Bridal Look on the Red Carpet
Rebecca walked the red carpet in a wedding-inspired outfit. She wore an ivory silk dress that had a corset and a bouncy skirt. On her head, she wore a bridal veil and a white sailor hat with initials on it. The hat is part of LA designer Erik Charlotte’s fall collection, which features ocean-themed looks.
When asked if she planned to wear a wedding dress, Rebecca laughed and said, “I did not, but then we ended up here, and I said of course I’m getting married.” She also told another reporter that she wanted to look like “an angel” and “float down the carpet.”
Rebecca’s Music Journey
Rebecca first became famous in 2011 with her viral song Friday. At the time, she was just a teenager. While the song brought her fame, it also led to a lot of online bullying. In a 2020 interview, she shared that the hate made her feel “unbelievably depressed.”
Now older, Rebecca has made a strong return to music. She creates hyperpop songs, works as a DJ, and has even opened for stars like Katy Perry. She continues to perform her own shows and now has a growing fan base.

AMAs Afterparty DJ
At the AMAs, Rebecca had a special role. She worked as the official DJ for the afterparty. Her playful wedding outfit matched her fun, carefree personality. “I have a lot of fun with what I do,” she said, smiling and pointing to her dress.
Quiet Red Carpet, Bold Looks
This year’s red carpet was more low-key than usual. Many big stars didn’t show up, and some who won awards sent videos instead of attending. Still, a few celebrities embraced the Las Vegas vibe like Rebecca did.
Jennifer Lopez, the event’s host, wore many sparkling outfits. Benson Boone performed in a bright purple floral suit. Shaboozey wore shiny plaid chaps. Ciara showed up in a sparkling bodysuit covered in chains. She said, “we gotta bring bling bling to Vegas.” Heidi Montag wore a blue jumpsuit that shimmered under the lights.
A Look to Remember
Rebecca might not be headed to a real wedding chapel in Vegas, but her outfit definitely turned heads. Bridal styles have often appeared on fashion runways, and Rebecca’s look fit right in. As the final DJ of the night, her outfit made a bold and memorable statement.
