Samyang Foods is adding to the excitement for fans of its popular instant noodle brand, Buldak, by introducing two new products: Buldak Carbonara Dumplings and Buldak Sauce Sticks. These innovative offerings aim to give consumers even more ways to enjoy the beloved flavours that have made Buldak a social media sensation.
The company revealed its latest products on Thursday, just in time for National Dumpling Day. Buldak’s instant noodles, especially the carbonara flavor and extra spicy options labeled “3x spicy,” have gained a massive following online. The unique pink packaging of Buldak Carbonara Noodles stands out due to its rich, creamy sauce combined with a cheesy flavor, all while delivering a spicy kick that fans crave.

With the introduction of Buldak Carbonara Dumplings, fans can now experience the same spicy and creamy goodness in a new format. Each dumpling is packed with a delicious filling made from vermicelli, cabbage, tofu, spring onion, and, of course, Buldak Carbonara Hot Chicken Flavor sauce. According to the company, “Fans of the highly sought-after pink bundles of Buldak Carbonara Noodles can now get that spicy-meets-creamy flavor as giant dumplings.” Preparing these dumplings is simple and convenient; they can be steamed, boiled, fried, or microwaved for a quick snack or meal.

In addition to the dumplings, Samyang Foods is also launching Buldak Sauce Sticks, which allow fans to take the heat with them anywhere. These sauce sticks come in sets of 50 individual packets, making it easy to add a spicy kick to any dish. The company suggests using the sauce on everything from fried eggs to snacks.

Both the Buldak Carbonara Dumplings and Buldak Sauce Sticks are hitting Asian grocery stores across the country. Shoppers can find the frozen dumplings in the freezer section, likely near the original Buldak Hot Dumplings, with a retail price of $7.99 for a 24-ounce package. The sauce sticks will be found with other condiments and are priced at $9.99 for a 50-pack.

The release of these new items comes after a remarkable rise in the popularity of Buldak products on social media platforms. Users often share challenges to see how much of the fiery noodles they can eat in one sitting. However, there are warnings for those who may want to test their spice tolerance. In May, TikTok user Lucy Mourad experienced severe health issues, including kidney stones and blood poisoning, after consuming the spicy noodles regularly.

The intense heat of these noodles has even caught the attention of health authorities. In June, Denmark banned three flavors of the instant noodles, citing health concerns related to the high levels of capsaicin. Fortunately, two of the flavors were later reinstated after it was determined that their spice levels were within safe limits.

While the new Buldak Carbonara Dumplings are a delicious treat for fans, moderation is key. If you have a sensitive stomach or any health concerns about consuming spicy foods, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional before diving into these tasty offerings.
