Although the cause of her death has not been officially released, her mother, actress Shelly Gibson, confirmed that Nyweide had been struggling with drug use. A police investigation is currently underway.
Shelly Gibson told TMZ, “My knowledge is she was using drugs and was a tiny young woman. She was with other people when she died.”
