Subway has introduced a new treat for cookie lovers: the Oreo Footlong Cookie. Available starting Thursday, this delicious dessert takes inspiration from the classic Oreo cookie. It’s a limited-time offering and follows the success of Subway's earlier footlong cookie concept, which launched last December.

Made with Subway's signature chocolate chip cookie dough, the Oreo version features crunchy Oreo pieces mixed into the dough and is topped with a layer of sweet vanilla cream. Subway’s chocolate chip footlong cookie became so popular after its debut that it quickly became a permanent menu item. Since its release, over 13 million of these giant cookies have been sold. The $5 dessert saw such high demand that Subway struggled to keep up, and online ordering was temporarily unavailable.

"We worked closely with Oreo to create something fans of both brands will love," said Paul Fabre, a Subway executive. "The blend of our popular double chocolate cookie with the unique Oreo cookie and its creamy filling creates an irresistible combination." This collaboration aims to combine the rich flavors of both brands, offering a treat that’s perfect for Oreo and Subway fans alike.

While this special Oreo Footlong Cookie is only available for a limited time, it will be served warm and ready to share, just like the original chocolate chip version. Customers can enjoy it in participating Subway restaurants or order through the Subway app.

The idea for Subway’s footlong cookies began in December 2023 when the chain gave customers a sneak preview of the giant cookies in select cities. People in Chicago, Dallas, Miami, and New York City who purchased a footlong sub got a free Oreo footlong cookie as part of the preview. The overwhelming response from customers led to the nationwide rollout of the Oreo Footlong Cookie in January 2024. Subway also introduced other footlong-sized treats like the $2 Cinnabon footlong churro and $3 Auntie Anne’s footlong pretzel that same month.

This new Oreo version joins a variety of footlong cookie flavors, including the holiday-themed Double Chocolate Peppermint that was released later that year. Whether you’ve been enjoying Subway’s footlong cookies since last year or are trying the Oreo version for the first time, there’s no denying the popularity of these large, warm cookies.

For those interested in trying the Oreo Footlong Cookie, head to your nearest Subway location or order through the app. Don’t miss out, as this special edition won’t be around for long.
