Taco Bell is rolling out a celebration for the 20th anniversary of its popular Baja Blast drink, bringing fans some exciting deals and a new treat. Baja Blast, a tropical lime-flavoured soda created specifically for Taco Bell, has been a favourite since it was introduced in 2004.
Taco Bell’s Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery, shared the company’s excitement about the milestone: “We’re extremely proud of the synonymous, iconic duo Taco Bell and BAJA BLAST have become. We’re celebrating this incredible milestone just as much as our die-hard Baja fans and can’t wait to share even more epic experiences, innovations and rewards.”
The celebration includes several special offers for Baja Blast enthusiasts. On July 29, Taco Bell will give away free Baja Blast drinks, available in both frozen and regular forms. Customers can pick up a medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze at any Taco Bell location or order through the Taco Bell app.

Mountain Dew, the brand behind Baja Blast, is also extending the celebration. JP Bittencourt, the vice president of marketing at Mountain Dew, said, “We’re constantly inspired by our fans and feed off their energy, which drives our urge to deliver breakthrough innovations and exclusive offerings to thank those who have supported us – whether it’s our diehard fans from day one to new consumers who continue to join our fandom each and every day.”
Another exciting part of the celebration is the Stanley X Bajaversary Tumbler giveaway. On August 13 at 2 p.m. PST, Taco Bell app rewards members can enter to win a special tumbler that combines the Stanley Cup with Baja Blast branding. The first 20 customers who redeem this tumbler will also enjoy free Baja Blast for a year.

For fans looking to enjoy Baja Blast regularly, Taco Bell is also offering a $1 Happier Hour deal. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily, customers can get a medium-sized Baja Blast fountain drink or a regular-sized Baja Blast Freeze for just one dollar.
In addition to these offers, Taco Bell teased a future release of Baja Blast Pie, set to debut later this year.
