Taco Bell is stepping up its chicken game. Starting June 17, 2025, the popular fast food chain will offer new Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos. These tasty new items feature the same Crispy Chicken Strips that fans already love.
New Chicken Items Hit the Menu
Taco Bell has created a new lineup of Crispy Chicken items. These include:
- Crispy Chicken Taco for $2.79
- Crispy Chicken Burrito for $5.49
- Two Crispy Chicken Strips for $3.99
Each taco and burrito comes with a Crispy Chicken Strip made with a crunchy tortilla coating. The taco is filled with purple cabbage, fresh lettuce, pico de gallo, and shredded cheddar cheese. The burrito packs in two chicken strips, along with the same toppings.
These items are available at locations across the U.S. for a limited time.
New Flavors to Try
Two new sauces also join the menu:
- Spicy Ranchero Sauce blends Anaheim and jalapeño chiles with tomatoes, garlic, and onion.
- Avocado Ranch Sauce is a creamy, zesty ranch with a touch of avocado.
Customers can buy the sauces separately for 60 cents or add them to menu items for just 30 cents.
Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Era
Taco Bell says the launch shows how serious they are about crispy chicken. The brand wrote, “The next move was obvious: take the craveable, tortilla-coated crunch fans loved and pack it into the formats that made Taco Bell famous — Tacos and Burritos.”
The new releases follow the return of Taco Bell’s Crispy Chicken Nuggets, which were first launched in December and came back in April. Now, Taco Bell is giving fans even more ways to enjoy crispy chicken.
The Chicken Wrap Wars Heat Up
Taco Bell is not the only fast food chain bringing back crispy chicken. Other big names are also joining the chicken wrap race.
McDonald’s confirmed it will bring back the Snack Wrap nationwide on July 10, 2025. Meanwhile, Popeyes announced new Chicken Wraps that will also hit the menu for a limited time.
In a playful move, Popeyes responded to a cryptic McDonald’s post hinting at the Snack Wrap return. On May 30, Popeyes teased their own launch with a similar message.
With these new releases, fast food fans have more crispy chicken choices than ever. Whether it’s Taco Bell’s crunchy tacos, McDonald’s returning favorite, or Popeyes’ spicy twist, crispy chicken is taking over 2025.
