Taco Bell has introduced Cheesy Dipping Burritos served with a rich garlic-flavoured sauce. Taco Bell
Taco Bell has announced three additions to its menu. One item makes a return. Two others arrive for a limited time. All three will appear starting Thursday, Dec. 18.
The returning item is the Quesarito. Fans have asked for its comeback for years. The two new options feature bold garlic flavours. They include Cheesy Dipping Burritos and Steak Garlic Nacho Fries.
Quesarito Makes a Holiday Comeback
The Quesarito first launched nationwide in 2014. It quickly became a fan favourite. Taco Bell later removed it from stores. The chain then limited it to online orders. It disappeared completely in 2023.
The Quesarito includes seasoned beef and rice. It also has chipotle sauce and reduced-fat sour cream. A grilled quesadilla tortilla wraps the burrito. Melted cheeses and Nacho Cheese sauce complete it.
“We heard our fans loud and clear,” said Luis Restrepo, chief marketing officer at Taco Bell, in a news release. “Their passion turned the Quesarito into a Taco Bell legend, and bringing it back for the holidays felt like the perfect way to celebrate that energy.”
The Quesarito costs $4.99. It contains 570 calories. It also includes 24 grams of fat and 1,340 milligrams of sodium.
Cheesy Dipping Burritos Return
Cheesy Dipping Burritos also return after an earlier debut. Customers can choose steak or slow-roasted chicken. Each burrito comes with a dipping sauce.
This time, Taco Bell adds Creamy Garlic Sauce. Customers had previously ordered this mix on their own. Taco Bell noticed the trend. The chain decided to add it officially.
Cheesy Dipping Burritos cost $5.49. Prices may vary by location. Chicken versions contain 720 calories. Steak versions contain 710 calories. Both options include high protein levels.
Customers can still choose other sauces. Options include Creamy Chipotle Sauce and Nacho Cheese Sauce.
Garlic Nacho Fries Join the Menu
Steak Garlic Nacho Fries complete the trio. This dish builds on Taco Bell’s popular nacho fries. It adds marinated grilled steak on top.
The fries also include pico de gallo. Shredded cheddar cheese adds texture. Nacho Cheese sauce and Creamy Garlic Sauce finish the dish.
The fries cost $4.99. They contain 490 calories. They also include 31 grams of fat and 1,200 milligrams of sodium.
A Curious Sports Connection
The Quesarito also holds a strange sports link. Taco Bell promoted it during the 2014 NBA Draft. During that broadcast, cameras missed a key moment.
Television coverage skipped the Denver Nuggets selection. That pick belonged to Nikola Jokić. A Taco Bell commercial aired instead.
The moment later gained attention. Many fans still share the clip today. Taco Bell even called it the “Most Unexpected Draft Moment Ever.”
Jokić later commented on the situation. He joked about avoiding the food. When asked about trying it, he replied, “No. It’s nice they’re finally apologizing. But no.”
