Taco Bell has introduced a brand-new dessert to its menu. The fast-food chain has teamed up with a well-known dessert company to launch Birthday Cake Churros. These crispy treats come filled with sweet birthday cake frosting and are topped with pink confetti sprinkles.
Starting Thursday, customers can grab a single churro for $1.99 or a pack of two for $2.99. However, these treats won’t be around forever, as they are only available for a limited time.
Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer shared excitement about the new dessert, saying, “We love partnerships that play with form and flavour, which is exactly what we’ve done with this extra-celebratory take on the churro.” She also added that no visit to Taco Bell is complete without a sweet treat, and this new item captures the nostalgic taste of birthday cake.
This isn’t Taco Bell’s first time collaborating with this dessert brand. In 2022, they introduced the Strawberry Bell Truffle, a cake truffle with crunchy taco shell pieces. The fast-food chain has also experimented with other churro-inspired desserts in the past, including Churro Twists and Churro Donuts.
Recently, Taco Bell brought back a fan-favorite treat, the Caramel Apple Empanada, for a short time as part of its Decades Menu. The company also tested a unique drink called the Churro Chillers at select locations in Southern California. This blended shake featured churro crumbles and cold foam, available in flavours like Mexican Chocolate, Wild Strawberry, Sweet Vanilla, and Dulce de Leche Coffee.
Taco Bell’s current dessert menu includes longtime favourites like Cinnamon Twists and Cinnabon Delights. In addition to these, the company also launched two new frozen drinks: the Baja Blast Dream Freeze and the Baja Blast Strawberry Dream Freeze. These drinks mix Mountain Dew slush with a swirl of vanilla crème.
With Birthday Cake Churros now on the menu, Taco Bell continues to bring exciting and unique treats to its customers. Those interested should grab one soon before they disappear.
