Sofronio Vasquez, Shye, Jeremy Beloate, Sydney Sterlace, and Danny Joseph were among the finalists for Season 26 of The Voice.
On Tuesday, December 10, Sofronio Vasquez was announced as the season winner, marking Michael Bublé’s debut victory as a coach. As his name was called, Vasquez fell to his knees in disbelief, and Bublé, overcome with emotion, wiped away tears.
Before the announcement, Bublé expressed his admiration for Vasquez, saying, “My Filipino brother, you are the hope of so many people... it has been such an unbelievable journey to be here with you.”

Vasquez triumphed over Shye, who was also on Team Bublé, along with Danny Joseph from Team Reba, Jeremy Beloate from Team Snoop, and Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen.
Originally from the Philippines, Vasquez moved to the U.S. in 2022 to pursue his musical dreams following the passing of his father, who inspired his love for singing. During his blind audition, Vasquez’s performance of Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down” earned him four chair turns, ultimately leading him to choose Bublé as his coach.

On December 2, Bublé praised Vasquez after a heartfelt performance of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream,” telling him, “You walk out here on a night like tonight, when it probably matters more than anything has in your whole life career-wise... and you take the brass ring. I’m just so happy for you.”
Reflecting on his experience after the finale, Vasquez shared his gratitude for his journey on the show, regardless of the outcome. “We’re just going to celebrate that this was a very, very good run for The Voice. We really felt that we are loved by the production and no one is superior... we are all loved. [It’s] in America’s hands for tomorrow,” he said.
