Do you ever feel like you're missing out? That’s FOMO, a common feeling in today's social-media-crazed world where everyone seems to be having more fun than you. It's that nagging fear that others are doing cooler stuff while you're stuck doing nothing.

But guess what? Feeling FOMO is okay, totally normal. But it can mess with your head, making you feel bad about yourself. So, how do experts deal with it? Here are some tips:

First, change how you think about it. Instead of dwelling on what you missed, focus on what you gained. Think of it as the joy of missing out, or JOMO. For example, if you skipped a party, maybe you had a relaxing night in.

Next, when FOMO hits hard, take a deep breath. Literally. Deep breathing calms your body down. Try inhaling for four seconds, holding for four, and exhaling for four. Repeat a few times to chill out.

Third, set some boundaries. You don’t have to do everything. It's okay to say no sometimes. If work is important, prioritize it over socializing. And if social media makes you feel FOMO, limit your screen time.

Fourth, it’s okay to feel FOMO. Sit with it, understand it. Recognizing why you feel this way gives you control over it.

Lastly, practice gratitude. Instead of focusing on what you're missing, be thankful for what you have. Try journaling or meditating to shift your focus.

Remember, it’s okay to feel FOMO but don’t let it ruin your day. Take control and focus on the good stuff.
