The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign returned this week and runs until November 23. Tim Hortons locations across Canada now offer the special cookies once again. The full amount from every cookie sold goes directly to local charities, community groups, and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. The popular program brings communities together during the holiday season and supports important local needs.

A Season of Giving

Tim Hortons president Axel Schwan spoke about the meaning behind the yearly fundraiser. “The holidays are a season of kindness and generosity, made even brighter thanks to Tim Hortons restaurant owners and the countless guests who support our annual Holiday Smile Cookie campaign,” he said. He added that the program helps people give back in an easy and enjoyable way. “With 100 per cent of proceeds from every cookie sold donated to local charities, community groups and Tims Camps, Holiday Smile Cookies are a simple and delicious way to make a real difference in your community.”

Millions Raised Since Launch

The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign started in 2023. In only two years, the program raised a combined total of $20.5 million. Many families, youth programs, and neighbourhood groups have received support through the funds. The initiative now stands as one of the brand’s most meaningful holiday traditions. Local organizations rely on the donations each year to continue their work.

Helping Young People Grow

Caroline Barham, President of Tim Hortons Foundation Camps and a Tim Hortons restaurant owner, encouraged Canadians to take part. “As we kick off Holiday Smile Cookie Week, we’re inviting Canadians to help make a meaningful difference in their own communities,” she said. She explained that each cookie purchased supports programs that help young people grow. “Every cookie purchased supports the Foundation’s at-camp and in-classroom programs, which help underserved youth build confidence, develop leadership skills, and discover what they’re capable of.”

The Foundation provides year-round support for youth who may not have access to similar programs. Activities focus on teamwork, problem-solving, independence, and personal growth. Funds from the cookie campaign help keep these programs running across the country.

Community Spirit Across Canada

The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign also helps neighbourhood charities selected by local restaurant owners. These groups include food banks, shelters, health programs, youth centres, and many others. Each region supports a different organization based on local needs. Canadians can check which group their purchase helps by visiting the campaign webpage.

The cookies feature a cheerful holiday design and appear only once a year. Many people look forward to them as part of their seasonal traditions. Stores often see long lines as customers buy cookies for family, friends, and co-workers. The program brings communities together through a small act of kindness that carries a large impact.
