A stunning wilderness resort in British Columbia, designed and built by the talented team behind the popular show Timber Kings, has just been listed for sale at $21.5 million. The property, known as Little Wolf Resort, is located on a 130-acre peninsula along the picturesque Skeena River near Terrace. The Timber Kings, known for their incredible craftsmanship, have called this one of their "coolest and most challenging" projects.
Little Wolf Resort is not just a place to stay; it's a destination that offers an experience like no other. The resort charges guests around $1,000 per night, providing them with luxurious accommodations, guided fishing tours, and gourmet meals prepared by a chef who specializes in fresh, local seafood. The property is already a successful business with a strong reputation, but there is also significant potential for expansion. According to Annette Cosens, a realtor with Sotheby's International Realty, the resort could be expanded from its current six rooms to 30 rooms, and the site can accommodate up to 20 RVs. "The potential is quite astounding," Cosens said.

The interior of the resort is just as remarkable as its surroundings. The owners, a family of sophisticated artists, have painstakingly selected each piece of furniture and fixture, infusing the property with a unique blend of elegance and innovation. Among the treasures found within the resort is a 17th-century oak table that once featured in a Harry Potter movie, and an 11th-century fireplace sourced from a castle in Burgundy. "It's extraordinarily beautiful. Every bit of it. None of the furniture is just ordinary. They basically hunted around the world for these special antiques," said Calvin Cosens, the director of marketing and husband to Annette.

The building itself is described as a "timber frame red and yellow cedar wood castle," constructed mainly from trees sourced from Haida Gwaii. The property also features intricate carvings, some created by local Indigenous artists, adding to the resort's cultural significance and charm.

The current owners, who acquired the property in 2017, have poured their hearts into building and running the resort. However, now in their early 70s, they are ready to embark on new adventures and explore the world once again. "It's been a passion of theirs," Calvin noted.

For potential buyers, the resort offers a wealth of opportunities. Aside from expanding the accommodation offerings, the property's location provides excellent possibilities for outdoor activities. The Skeena River is known for its massive salmon and steelhead trout, making it a prime location for trophy fishing. Additionally, the surrounding area could support activities like heli-skiing and snowmobiling, attracting tourists year-round.

One notable aspect of this property is that it is not subject to British Columbia's foreign buyer's tax, a factor that could make it especially attractive to international investors. With its blend of natural beauty, luxurious accommodations, and untapped potential, Little Wolf Resort is truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity for anyone looking to invest in a unique and profitable venture.
