She and Jay-Z posed for photos with the "Matriarch" author
Beyoncé and Jay-Z recently made a memorable date night out of a special family celebration. The occasion? Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, became a New York Times #1 bestselling author for her memoir Matriarch.
A Family Affair in Los Angeles
The star-studded celebration took place at The Wiltern in Los Angeles during a brief break from Beyoncé's ongoing Cowboy Carter Tour. Beyoncé joined Tina, 71, for a special event on Tina's own book tour. Hosted by Keke Palmer, the event featured a performance by Jennifer Hudson, and the after-party was nothing short of spectacular. It was a moment to honor Tina’s success, with Beyoncé and her husband, Jay-Z, enjoying the evening together.
Contrasting Styles for a Stylish Couple
For the evening, Beyoncé stunned in a gray speckled outfit, which included a structured mini skirt and an exaggerated blazer with a curved silhouette. Her ensemble was completed with matching stilettos, and she added a pop of color with a bright red lip and her hair styled up. In contrast, Jay-Z, 55, kept it casual yet stylish with a white t-shirt, black coat and pants, a beanie, and one of his signature Rolex watches.
Tina Knowles Shines in Silver
The event also saw Tina turning heads in a floor-length, off-shoulder silver gown, reminiscent of Beyoncé’s own Renaissance Tour wardrobe. The night’s celebrations included a cake featuring the cover of Tina's memoir and a large bouquet of red roses in her honor. Beyoncé took to Instagram to share photos from the party, expressing her pride in her mom’s achievement. "Congrats to our Matriarch," Beyoncé wrote. “The Mama T was that good?? Ha. You deserve it, I’m so proud!"
A Heartfelt Moment on Stage
On the second night of the Cowboy Carter Tour in Inglewood, California, Beyoncé celebrated Tina’s accomplishment in front of a packed crowd at SoFi Stadium. During the performance, Beyoncé invited her mom, along with daughters Blue Ivy and Rumi, on stage. Blue Ivy, 13, danced alongside her mom, while Rumi, 7, made an adorable appearance during the performance of “PROTECTOR.”
Beyoncé shared with the audience how hard Tina had worked on her book and asked everyone to congratulate her. "Everybody please say, 'Congratulations Mama T'," Beyoncé said, per Billboard.
Fans Are Touched by the Family Moment
The heartfelt moment didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who were especially moved by seeing Blue Ivy take on the role of the supportive older sibling while Rumi's infectious energy filled the stage. “Blue really is the glue that holds that family together. Three generations on stage. What a blessing,” one fan wrote. Another fan commented, “I love to see Rumi and her excitement!! A child being a child!!” Others found it heartwarming to watch Blue as a big sister, with one fan sweetly saying, “I loooove seeing Blue as a big sister! It's so sweet!”
The Cowboy Carter Tour Continues
The Cowboy Carter Tour has 30 more scheduled performances, with Beyoncé and Jay-Z returning to SoFi Stadium for the third of five shows on May 4. From there, the tour will hit Chicago and New York/New Jersey before heading abroad for shows in London and France. The North American leg will conclude in Paradise, Nevada, on July 26.
