Key Canadian Business Events to Watch This Week

Roots Earnings Report Roots Corp., the clothing retailer, will publish its first-quarter financial results and host a conference call with investors and analysts on Monday. Household Debt Statistics Statistics Canada will release the national balance sheet and financial flow accounts for the first quarter on Thursday. This report will feature the closely monitored household-debt-to-income ratio, which indicates how much Canadians owe compared to their income.

Economic Data Releases The economic outlook for Canada in the second quarter will be clearer with upcoming key data releases. On Friday, Statistics Canada will publish its monthly survey of manufacturing and wholesale trade figures for April.
