A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after him and two other youths tried to ride atop a moving GO train after midnight on Saturday. Toronto police reported that four youths, aged between 14 and 16, boarded the eastbound train from Union Station to Danforth Station around 11:50 p.m.
While the train was in motion, three of the teens ventured outside and climbed onto the roof. One of them collided with a stationary object and fell.
The remaining youths returned inside the moving train and contacted emergency services. The injured 15-year-old was rushed to the hospital and remains in a critical condition.
Metrolinx, in an emailed statement, announced its cooperation with local law enforcement to investigate the incident. They emphasized the gravity of such actions and urged against engaging in such dangerous behavior.
