A company owned by Donald Trump is selling sneakers that prominently feature a photo from a recent assassination attempt against him. The shoes, called the "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT High-Tops," are available on the website gettrumpsneakers.com for $299 each. Only 5,000 pairs are being produced, and ten of those will be randomly signed by Trump himself. Customers can expect their shoes to ship in September or October.
The site is managed by CIC Ventures LLC, a company linked to Trump, as revealed in a financial disclosure earlier this year. The product description claims that these limited-edition sneakers showcase Trump's resilience and bravery during a critical moment in history. The design includes the American flag and a striking image of Trump raising his fist after a bullet grazed his ear.

The incident occurred on July 13, 2024, during a campaign rally at Butler Farm Show Inc. in Pennsylvania. Trump was photographed with blood on his face while being escorted off the stage by Secret Service agents. The assailant, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, fatally shot one attendee and injured two others before being killed by the Secret Service.

Since this tragic event, various merchandise featuring the dramatic image has flooded the market, ranging from sweatshirts and mugs to car stickers and trading cards. Many right-wing supporters are using these items to rally for Trump’s re-election. Slogans such as "Trump 2024" and "You Missed" are commonly featured on these products.

During his first public appearance after the attack in Milwaukee, Trump had a large bandage on his ear. He recalled the moment of the incident, stating that his shoes came off when he was rushed to the ground, saying, “The agents hit me so hard that my shoes fell off. And my shoes are tight.” Trump was seen on video asking for his shoes repeatedly as Secret Service agents tried to protect him.

Despite the serious nature of the event, the sale of these sneakers appears to capitalize on the dramatic moment, generating significant attention and sales. This has led to mixed reactions among the public, with some seeing it as a way to honor Trump’s fight for his political career, while others view it as a troubling commercialization of a violent event.

As the Republican National Convention approaches, the sneakers are just one of many products tied to Trump and his supporters, showcasing the intertwining of politics and merchandise in today’s landscape. With the election year heating up, it’s clear that Trump’s supporters are eager to rally around symbols of resilience, even in the face of danger.
