Actor Uma Thurman turned heads as she attended her daughter Maya Hawke’s surprise Valentine’s Day wedding in New York City. The 55-year-old star embraced an elegant mother-of-the-bride look for the intimate ceremony held on Feb. 14.
A Romantic Wedding in New York
Maya Hawke married musician Christian Lee Hutson during a quiet evening ceremony at St. George’s Episcopal Church. The couple kept their plans private, surprising many with the Valentine’s Day celebration.
Family and close friends gathered to mark the occasion. Maya’s father, Ethan Hawke, attended the wedding along with several of her “Stranger Things” co-stars, including Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery.

Thurman chose a flowing powder blue gown for the event. The Printed Silk Voile Short Sleeve Gown by Erdem carries a price tag of $3,995. The lightweight silk dress featured delicate designs of butterflies, insects and flowers. Its soft draping and airy fabric gave it a romantic feel that suited the winter ceremony.

A Family Affair
Thurman and Ethan Hawke married in 1998 and separated in 2005. They share two children, Maya and Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke. Levon also attended the wedding. Ethan Hawke has two daughters, Clementine Jean Hawke and Indiana Hawke, with his wife Ryan Shawhughes Hawke. Thurman has another daughter, Luna, with former fiancé Arpad Busson.
