Vegas Keeps Winning Streak Alive with 5-2 Win Over Toronto. The Golden Knights will stay home for their next game on Friday, marking Women’s History Knight.

The Vegas Golden Knights extended their winning streak to three games with a commanding 5-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night at T-Mobile Arena. This latest win strengthens Vegas’ hold in the standings as they continue their push towards the postseason.

How the Game Unfolded

Vegas wasted no time asserting dominance. Just over four minutes into the game, Tomas Hertl opened the scoring by tapping in a rebound. Brett Howden followed seven minutes later, netting his 17th goal of the season with a slick backhand shot. As the first period wound down, Jack Eichel capitalized on a power-play opportunity, sending a blistering shot past Toronto’s goalie to give Vegas a solid 3-0 lead.

Seventeen seconds into the second period, Noah Hanifin fired one into the net, making it 4-0—Vegas’ fastest goal to start a period this season. Midway through the period, Tanner Pearson added another, stretching the lead to five. Toronto finally responded with a power-play goal from Auston Matthews before the second intermission. Mitch Marner added another for the Maple Leafs in the third period, but their late push wasn’t enough. With Adin Hill stopping 29 of 31 shots, Vegas secured the win with authority.
