The memoir of Virginia Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s most outspoken accusers, will be published this fall. The book, titled Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, runs 400 pages and will hit shelves on October 21. Giuffre completed the manuscript before her death earlier this year.
A Story She Wanted Told
Giuffre worked on the book with award-winning journalist Amy Wallace. In an email sent weeks before her death, Giuffre expressed her strong desire for the memoir to be released no matter what. She wrote, “The content of this book is crucial, as it aims to shed light on the systemic failures that allow the trafficking of vulnerable individuals across borders.”
She added that she hoped the book would spark awareness and lead to justice.
Life and Struggles
Giuffre died on April 25 at her farm in Western Australia, where she had lived for years. She had been hospitalised after a serious accident in March and wrote her email to Wallace on April 1.
In her message, she said, “In the event of my passing, I would like to ensure that Nobody’s Girl is still released. I believe it has the potential to impact many lives and foster necessary discussions about these grave injustices.”
Prince Andrew and the Settlement
Giuffre had accused Prince Andrew of sexual assault, saying Epstein trafficked her for sex with him. Andrew has denied all allegations. In 2022, he reached an out-of-court settlement with Giuffre after she filed a lawsuit against him.
The memoir marks the first time Giuffre speaks publicly about the prince since that settlement.
Details Inside the Book
According to the publisher, Knopf, the memoir contains disturbing and intimate details about Giuffre’s time with Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their powerful circle of friends. Editor-in-chief Jordan Pavlin described the book as a “raw and shocking” journey, calling it the story of “a fierce spirit struggling to break free.”
Knopf confirmed the book was fact-checked and legally vetted. Co-author Wallace, a respected journalist, began working with Giuffre on the project in 2021.
The Publishing Journey
Reports in 2023 suggested Giuffre secured a deal worth millions with another publisher. She first signed with Penguin Press but later moved the project to Knopf, following editor Emily Cunningham.
Knopf spokesperson Todd Doughty confirmed that Giuffre made no allegations of abuse against Donald Trump, who has faced questions about his past ties to Epstein.
This memoir differs from her earlier unpublished work, The Billionaire’s Playboy Club, mentioned in court documents unsealed in 2019.
Awaited Release
Nobody’s Girl arrives as one of the most anticipated books of the year. Readers can expect personal and powerful accounts of Giuffre’s life, her struggles, and her fight for justice against some of the most powerful figures linked to Epstein.
