The Prince and Princess of Wales will soon move into a new residence in Windsor with their three children. William, Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis plan to settle later this year at Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom home surrounded by the greenery of Windsor Great Park.
A spokesperson confirmed the move, saying, “The Wales family will move house later this year.” Their current home, Adelaide Cottage, is nearby, making the transition easier for the family.
Details of the New Home
Forest Lodge carries a long history. The property underwent a major restoration in 2001, with work costing around £1.5 million. Images from that time highlight the home’s original stone design, ornate plaster cornices, and detailed ceiling decoration.
Recently, the local council approved small changes, including the removal of a window and updates to a fireplace. These modifications will help the family make the home fit their needs.
A Family Focus
This will not be the first time William and Kate have moved their family. In 2022, they relocated from London to Windsor to give their children more privacy and stability. At that time, they wanted the young royals to enjoy a childhood away from the constant pressures of city life.
