Walmart is already gearing up for the holiday season, unveiling its special holiday deals earlier than usual this year. The company aims to help customers plan ahead and stretch their budgets with a series of promotions starting in October. One particular offer has caught attention—an affordable Thanksgiving meal bundle that serves up to 10 people for just around $7 per person.
Beginning on October 14th, Walmart will roll out a range of holiday dinner essentials priced even lower than last year. This bundle includes 28 classic Thanksgiving items like turkey, side dishes, cranberry sauce, and desserts. Whether you prefer shopping in-store or online, Walmart offers flexible purchasing options, including curbside pickup, early morning delivery starting at 6 a.m., and even express delivery within 30 minutes.
Walmart’s executive VP and chief merchandising officer, Latriece Watkins, mentioned that the retailer’s early approach is designed to cater to customers who are starting to plan their holiday celebrations. With its low prices and convenient shopping choices, Walmart aims to make holiday preparations smoother and more affordable for everyone.
The Thanksgiving meal bundle isn’t just about affordability. By offering bundled items, Walmart hopes to encourage shoppers to pick up more than they might have initially planned. For example, by grouping together canned cranberry sauce, pumpkin puree, and turkey brining bags, the store presents an appealing holiday “kit” that could lead to additional purchases.
This isn’t the first time Walmart has offered such a deal. Earlier this year, they launched a shoppable summer bundle on their website, where customers could purchase all the items needed for a cookout for about $6 per person. With just one click, shoppers could add everything to their cart or choose specific items to customize their menu. Recently, Walmart also introduced Game Day Baskets for football season, which included all the snacks needed for a game day party. They even offered a Cleanup Basket with disposable plates and trash bags to make hosting events easier.
The Thanksgiving meal bundle will be available through December 25th, making it a perfect option for both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. If the meal is a hit, customers can easily reorder the same bundle for the next holiday celebration. And for those eager to test it out early, the meal bundle will be available as soon as mid-October, offering plenty of time for a trial run before Thanksgiving.
