Wendy’s and Wednesday Team Up to Launch a Spooky New Meal. Newswire Canada

Two iconic characters with pig-tails are teaming up for something unexpected. Wendy’s and Wednesday Addams have come together to launch a brand-new meal—one that promises mischief and mystery. It’s called the Meal of Misfortune, and it’s far from your regular happy meal.

What’s in the Meal?

The Meal of Misfortune features a mix of tasty but daring items. It includes ten spicy chicken nuggets called “Rest in 10-Piece”, a small portion of “Cursed & Crispy” Fries, and a chilling dessert—a small “Raven’s Blood” Frosty made with 100% Canadian dairy and a dark cherry swirl. Everything is served in spooky packaging inspired by Wednesday Addams.

But the real surprise lies in the dipping sauces. Each meal includes two out of four mystery sauces, and you won’t know which ones you’ll get. The sauces come with fun but creepy names:

  • You Can’t Hyde
  • This Will Sting
  • Grave Mistake
  • Nowhere to Woe

You can’t choose your sauces—they're completely random. So, if you want to try them all, you’ll have to visit more than once.

When and Where Can You Get It?

The meal becomes available in the U.S. starting Monday, August 4. Fans can grab it from restaurants or order through the Wendy’s app. Canadian customers will get access to the meal from Monday, August 11. It will also be available in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Bahamas.

This spooky meal drops just in time for the release of Wednesday Season 2, Part 1, which hits streaming on August 6. It's perfect timing for fans looking to get into a dark and fun mood.

What Makes This Meal Special?

This isn’t your everyday collaboration. According to Liz Geraghty, Wendy’s International Chief Marketing Officer, “Wendy’s and Wednesday are both cultural icons. They both like to break the rules and bring a little sass.” She added that not every brand could create something as bold and playful as this meal with Wednesday Addams.

And what does Wednesday herself think? The gothic teen had something to say:
“Normally I'd be against this kind of capitalistic corporate synergy,” Wednesday Addams said. “But when the fast-food-slinging pigtailed provocateur said I could do whatever I wanted to her customers, I couldn't resist.”

A Meal Worth the Misfortune

This limited-time meal isn’t just about food. It’s an experience. From the mystery sauces to the custom packaging and Frosty cups, every part of the meal fits the dark and quirky world of Wednesday Addams.

If you’re brave enough—or just hungry—you can try it out starting August 11 in Canada. Get ready for a deliciously spooky treat.
