Wendy’s plans to sell its Dave’s Single cheeseburger for $1 on February 15 in celebration of Singles Awareness Day. Wendy’s

Wendy’s plans to treat customers to a special deal this Valentine’s Day weekend. The fast-food chain will sell its popular Dave’s Single cheeseburger for just $1 on Feb. 15 to mark Singles Awareness Day.

The company announced the promotion earlier this month, inviting customers to celebrate being single — or simply enjoy a good burger at a lower price.

A Deal for Singles Day

Singles Awareness Day falls on Feb. 15, one day after Valentine’s Day. Wendy’s says the offer gives people a reason to celebrate, whether they spend the day alone or just want something tasty.

"Forget the drama, the ghosting, the 'left on read' texts. At Wendy's, we've got something that actually shows up: a Dave's Single, reliable since 1969 because it never disappoints," Wendy's said in a Feb. 5 news release.

The company added that the deal welcomes everyone.

"Whether fans are flying solo, celebrating independence, 'it's complicated,' or just really hungry, Wendy's is serving up the ultimate singles celebration with a $1 Dave's Single cheeseburger with purchase in-app offer."

How the Offer Works

Customers can get the $1 Dave’s Single for one day only on Sunday, Feb. 15. The deal applies at participating Wendy’s locations across the country.

To qualify, customers must place their order through Wendy’s website or mobile app. The offer requires an additional purchase to unlock the $1 burger.

Wendy’s highlighted the burger’s ingredients in its announcement.

"Chocolates are out. Singles are in," Wendy's said. "The fresh, hot off the grill hamburger that started it all features a quarter pound of fresh, never frozen beef, topped with melted American cheese, crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, crunchy pickle, diced onion, ketchup and mayo on a toasted bun."

Regular Pricing

The price of a Dave’s Single varies by location. In most cities, the burger typically costs between $5.39 and $6.09. In Houston, for example, the regular price stands at $5.69, according to the company’s mobile app.

The limited-time offer gives customers the chance to enjoy the burger at a fraction of the usual price.

A Weekend Promotion

Wendy’s has often tied special offers to holidays and popular events. This promotion continues that trend, giving customers a reason to check the app and take part in the celebration.

The company says the offer lasts only one day, so customers must act quickly if they want to take advantage of the deal.

Singles Awareness Day may not carry the same attention as Valentine’s Day, but Wendy’s hopes the $1 burger will draw plenty of interest from customers looking for a simple and affordable treat.
