Fans of SpongeBob SquarePants might be in for a treat as Wendy's seems to be working on bringing the Krabby Patty to life. Recently, a post on Reddit's r/Spongebob subreddit grabbed attention by sharing what appears to be an internal memo between Wendy's and Paramount. This memo suggests that Wendy's is gearing up to offer a version of the Krabby Patty starting October 8.
The memo reveals that to celebrate SpongeBob's 25th anniversary, Wendy's plans to launch a special "Krabby Patty Kollaboration" with Paramount. According to the leaked document, this collaboration will feature a "premium cheeseburger" known as the Krabby Patty, topped with fresh ingredients and a unique Krabby Patty Sauce. Alongside the burger, Wendy's will introduce a new Frosty flavour called Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty. This treat will mix the chain’s classic vanilla Frosty with a Pineapple Mango Puree. The meal will also include Hot & Crispy fries.
The memo mentions that this promotion will be available for a limited time to "adult consumers and fans" across the U.S., Canada, and Guam. The launch will be supported by a significant media campaign, including TV ads and new restaurant merchandise. Additionally, there will be a limited supply of exclusive SpongeBob stickers available at participating locations. The promotion is set to end on November 11.
However, while the memo has created a buzz, Wendy's has yet to confirm the details. When approached for comment, Wendy's representative stated, "While we can’t confirm what’s coming down Wendy’s innovation pipeline, we can share that we’re always looking to bring fans new menu items inspired by our fans’ cravings. We will be sure to keep you in the loop when we have more news to share."
Despite the excitement surrounding this potential menu addition, it’s still unclear whether the Krabby Patty will indeed be hitting the Wendy’s menu. For now, fans will have to wait for official confirmation while eagerly anticipating the possible arrival of this SpongeBob-inspired treat.
