Xbox Teams Up with Amazon to Grow Its Gaming Community

Get ready for a new era in gaming! Xbox and Amazon have teamed up to offer cloud gaming on Fire TV devices for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members in 25 countries. Starting this July, gamers can enjoy a wide range of titles, including "Starfield" and "Forza Horizon 5," directly on their Fire TV Stick 4K devices. This collaboration makes gaming more convenient and affordable, allowing players to dive into their favourite games without the need for a console.

The partnership between Xbox and Amazon aims to expand the gaming community by offering more options for enjoying games. With the Xbox app now available on select Fire TV devices, Game Pass Ultimate members can play their favourite titles directly from the cloud. This means no more waiting for downloads or worrying about storage space.

From July, the Xbox app will be accessible on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2023) for $59.99 and the Fire TV Stick 4K (2023) for $49.99. These devices provide an affordable, convenient, and portable way to access a vast library of games. All you need is a Fire TV Stick, a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. This setup allows immediate access to hundreds of top-quality games, including exciting titles like “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II,” “Starfield,” and “Forza Horizon 5.”

Fans of Bethesda Game Studios will be thrilled to know that the Fallout series, including “Fallout 76” and “Fallout 4,” is also available with Game Pass Ultimate. Now, you can play these beloved games on your Fire TV device while enjoying the Fallout TV show on Prime Video!

Getting started with the Xbox app is simple:

  1. Install and launch the Xbox app on your Fire TV device.
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members get instant access to hundreds of cloud-enabled games.
  3. If you’re not a member, you can join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a low monthly fee. You can also play “Fortnite” without a membership.
  4. Connect a Bluetooth-enabled wireless controller, such as the Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Adaptive Controller, PlayStation DualSense, or DualShock 4 controller.
  5. Start playing!

This initiative is part of Xbox’s mission to bring cloud gaming to more devices and people worldwide. By adding Fire TV to its list of supported devices, Xbox continues to grow its cloud gaming ecosystem, making gaming accessible to new players around the globe.
