On April 26, 2024, the US Army via AP captured an image of the Mediterranean Sea. The US military stationed in the eastern Mediterranean is poised to extend a massive metal dock, equivalent to five US football fields, onto a northern Gaza beach in the coming days to facilitate aid shipments.

Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon's press secretary, anticipates that humanitarian organizations are prepared for the inaugural deliveries via the US maritime route. He affirms, "In the coming days, you can expect to see this effort underway. And we are confident that we will be able to, working with our NGO partners, ensure that aid can be delivered."

Ophir Falk, a foreign policy adviser to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserts that Israel has facilitated the entry of numerous aid trucks into Gaza and pledges to continue doing so. Falk reiterates claims that Hamas disrupts aid distribution by seizing and attacking convoys. US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller recently stated that there has only been one major incident of Hamas commandeering aid trucks.

The Israeli military affirms its commitment to adhere to international law in distributing aid to Gaza. It maintains that there are no restrictions on aid and endeavors to keep crossings open despite Hamas assaults. The military holds the United Nations responsible for any issues with aid distribution.
