Windstar Cruises has introduced new booking features to celebrate Canada Day. Canadian travel advisors can now easily search and book cruises in Canadian dollars. Starting immediately, bookings made by Canadian agencies will default to CAD, and any additional purchases before cruising will also be in Canadian dollars. However, agencies and their clients can still opt for USD pricing if preferred.

To mark this upgrade, Windstar is offering Canadian residents special savings of up to 30% on selected sailings in Iceland, the Mediterranean, and French Polynesia. This offer is valid until July 31 and applies exclusively to new bookings from Canadian addresses.

Dianna Rom, Windstar's Vice President of Sales, highlighted Canada's importance as a key market. She emphasized that offering Canadian dollar pricing simplifies cost calculations for Canadian travelers planning a Windstar cruise.

Once a booking is confirmed in a specific currency, the exchange rate is fixed until payment is made. This stability protects travelers from currency fluctuations, ensuring the price remains unchanged whether in CAD or USD.

Rom mentioned that this change aims to enhance the value Canadian travel advisors can offer their clients. Windstar will also provide marketing materials like CAD-priced flyers to support advisors in promoting these cruise options.
