In Montreal's Saint-Michel neighbourhood on Friday, a 71-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle, as reported by the local police.
Around 8:30 p.m., Montreal police responded to a 911 call reporting a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle near Francois-Perrault Street and Shaughnessy Boulevard.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the injured woman, prompting them to request the assistance of paramedics who subsequently transported her to the hospital.
As of Friday evening, the police did not provide additional details regarding the woman's condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle, also a 71-year-old man, emerged from the incident without sustaining any significant injuries, according to information provided by police spokesperson Julien Lévesque.
