A strange incident shook a quiet Bel Air street when a man drove his car straight through the front gate of a house believed to belong to actress Jennifer Aniston. The crash happened just after noon on Monday in the upscale neighborhood of Los Angeles.
What Happened
Police said the crash occurred around 12:20 p.m. on the 900 block of Airole Way. This is the same street where Aniston owns a home, according to public records. Officer Jeff Lee from the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that police got a call about a possible burglary. The man, described as a white male in his 70s, had driven his vehicle into the entrance gate of the property.
Security Stepped In Quickly
There was a security guard present at the house during the incident. The guard managed to stop the man and held him until the police arrived. Officers then took the man into custody without any struggle. The police have not said yet if the man meant to crash into the gate or if it was a mistake. The investigation is still ongoing.
Homeowner Was Inside
Officer David Cuellar later confirmed that the homeowner was inside the house when the crash happened. While he didn’t mention Aniston by name, reports say the house belongs to her. No injuries were reported, and nothing was said about any damage beyond the broken gate. Police are still trying to understand the man’s intent and whether charges will be filed.
Aniston's Connection to the House
Jennifer Aniston, best known for her role as Rachel Green on the hit TV show “Friends,” has lived in Bel Air for several years. She once shared how much she enjoyed working on the design of her home. In a 2018 interview, she said that if she weren’t acting, she would have wanted to be a designer. “I love the process,” she said, referring to picking out furniture, fabrics, and home finishes. “There’s something about picking out fabrics and finishes that feeds my soul.” Aniston has spent years customizing her Bel Air home to match her personal style. The property has often been mentioned in interviews and design features due to her love for architecture and décor.
Investigation Continues
Authorities have not yet shared the man’s name. They are trying to determine if he had any connection to the property or if he targeted the house on purpose. Aniston’s team has not released a statement about the crash. As of now, the man remains in police custody, and the case is being reviewed to decide the next steps.
