Actor Mark Sheppard experienced a cardiac emergency as he collapsed in his kitchen on Friday, detailing the frightening incident in an Instagram post on Saturday.

Renowned for his role as Crowley in the series "Supernatural," Sheppard conveyed his harrowing experience, mentioning his slim chances of survival due to enduring six massive heart attacks. Sharing a snapshot from his hospital bed, he disclosed a severe 100% blockage in his left anterior descending (LAD) artery, emphasizing the life-threatening situation he encountered.

Grateful for the support and swift action taken during the emergency, Sheppard expressed profound appreciation to his wife, the Los Angeles Fire Department, and the medical team at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. He particularly praised the Los Angeles Fire Department for their exceptional efforts in resuscitating him multiple times before safely transporting him to St. Joseph's.

Acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, Sheppard highlighted the critical nature of immediate treatment for surviving a widowmaker heart attack. This type of heart attack results from a blockage in the heart's primary artery, impeding blood flow through the LAD artery, as noted by medical experts at the Cleveland Clinic.

The actor received warm wishes for a swift recovery from his "Supernatural" co-star Misha Collins, who expressed concern about Sheppard's health, urging him to prioritize healing and return to his routine endeavors.

Remarkably, Sheppard had recently shared on Instagram about his weight loss journey, mentioning a loss of nearly 40 pounds and feeling better than ever before, signifying a new phase in his life and well-being.
