Arctic Kingdom has introduced a brand-new travel experience designed to highlight some of Canada’s most breathtaking Northern Lights destinations. The eight-day Northern Lights Odyssey takes travellers on a scenic route from Iqaluit, Nunavut, to Blachford Lodge in the Northwest Territories, offering a blend of culture, comfort, and nature.

The journey invites guests to experience the beauty of the Arctic in an intimate setting, with small groups ensuring personal attention and meaningful connections throughout the trip.

Immersed in Inuit Culture

The adventure begins in Iqaluit, where visitors can explore the heart of Inuit heritage. Travellers get to meet local artists, hear traditional stories, and learn about the region’s deep connection to the land and ice. These experiences aim to offer a genuine understanding of northern life rather than just a glimpse from afar.

After exploring Nunavut’s cultural richness, the group travels to Yellowknife, a city famous for its northern charm and vivid night skies. The journey ends at Blachford Lodge, a remote fly-in wilderness retreat surrounded by pristine lakes and untouched nature. The lodge is known for its handcrafted log cabins, lakeside sauna, and perfect vantage point for viewing the aurora borealis.

A Journey of Meaning and Magic

“Northern Lights Odyssey reflects our mission to open the door to the Arctic’s magic through authentic, comfortable, and meaningful experiences,” said Graham Dickson, founder and CEO of Arctic Kingdom.

He added, “What makes this journey special is its balance of authentic encounters with northern cultures, peaceful moments in nature, and the awe of witnessing the aurora.”

Each day of the itinerary offers something new — from cultural storytelling sessions and photography opportunities to quiet evenings under glowing skies. The goal, Dickson said, is to allow guests to “experience the Arctic not just as visitors, but as participants in its beauty.”

A Legacy of Arctic Exploration

With more than 25 years of experience in Arctic travel, Arctic Kingdom has built a strong reputation for safety, sustainability, and collaboration with Indigenous communities. The company continues to design experiences that respect the environment and celebrate the people who call the North home.

Their new Northern Lights Odyssey reflects that same philosophy — offering travellers a chance to connect deeply with the land and culture while enjoying world-class comfort in some of the most remote and spectacular regions of Canada.

For those seeking an unforgettable experience beyond traditional tourism, the Northern Lights Odyssey promises a journey filled with warmth, wonder, and the glow of the aurora lighting up the Arctic sky.
