Edward Berger, acclaimed for his direction of "All Quiet on the Western Front," is now at the helm of "Conclave," a thrilling adaptation of Robert Harris's novel. The film delves into the secretive world of the Vatican, where Cardinal Lawrence, played by Ralph Fiennes, finds himself navigating the intricate process of electing a new Pope amidst unearthing a profound and potentially devastating secret.
The trailer, unveiled recently, promises a gripping narrative set against the grandeur of Vatican City, enriched by standout performances from a stellar cast including Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow, and Isabella Rossellini.

Scheduled for release on November 1st with a limited theatrical debut, "Conclave" will expand its reach the following week to wider audiences. In an exclusive interview with Collider's Maggie Lovitt, Berger expressed his excitement about the project, particularly the opportunity to film at Cinecittà Studios in Rome, renowned for its illustrious history in cinema, which includes the works of Federico Fellini and other legendary directors.

Berger's meticulous storytelling approach, evident from his previous accolades and successes, promises to make "Conclave" a standout film of the year, blending suspense, political intrigue, and moral complexity in a compelling cinematic experience.
