The Los Cabos Tourism Board has introduced a fresh and interactive website aimed at offering travelers a dynamic and engaging way to explore the destination. This new platform promises to provide an immersive experience with advanced tools that highlight everything Los Cabos has to offer.
Rodrigo Esponda, Managing Director of the Los Cabos Tourism Board, shared that the creation of this website was more than just a simple update. “We envisioned this project not just as a website refresh, but as the creation of a comprehensive digital ecosystem that will allow travelers to discover and interact with Los Cabos in a whole new way,” he said.
This project took over a year to develop, and Esponda mentioned that the tourism board is already planning future updates to ensure they continue to meet the needs of modern travelers. The new site aims to cater to various types of visitors and incorporates the latest technologies to enhance the experience for both new and returning tourists.
“We wanted to create an ecosystem with the tools and technology capable of informing and inspiring travelers, while also highlighting our unique experiences through rich imagery and visuals,” Esponda added. The website’s interactive features, such as 360-degree tours and customizable itineraries, allow users to explore the region in a personalized way, tailoring their visits based on specific interests and preferences.
A key element of the new website is its integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which helps provide personalized recommendations and itinerary suggestions. “The first element that sets our site apart is the integration of AI into every aspect of the travel experience,” said Esponda. This AI technology allows travelers to receive tailored suggestions, making their journey planning process more intuitive and efficient.
Another standout feature of the site is its highly interactive elements. Users can narrow down searches based on their interests, leading to a more personalized experience. “Our goal was to ensure that visitors could find exactly what they were looking for, whether it’s adventure, relaxation, or culture,” Esponda said. The platform also stands out with stunning visuals, showcasing Los Cabos’ beauty through drone footage and high-quality imagery designed to inspire travelers and engage them with the website.
The new website has already shown impressive results, with the tourism board reporting a 91 percent increase in the clickthrough rate from users searching for things to do in Los Cabos. This suggests that travelers are spending more time on the site, exploring different sections, and interacting with the available content.
One of the website’s most important features is its commitment to accessibility and inclusion. “Our focus on inclusion and accessibility truly sets us apart,” Esponda emphasized. The site has integrated AudioEye technology, which allows travelers with different needs to customize the website according to their preferences. For example, people with low vision can enlarge text size, color-blind users can adjust colors for better contrast, and those with epilepsy can eliminate animations that might trigger seizures.
This attention to accessibility shows the tourism board’s dedication to ensuring that all travelers can fully enjoy the site and explore Los Cabos without barriers. Esponda believes that the combination of cutting-edge technology, AI, and accessibility features makes the website a one-of-a-kind tool that enhances the Los Cabos experience for everyone.
